A report from a pilot from July 3, 1947 where he sighted a "flying disc" that was shaped like a saucer. The file is pretty poorly copied and a lot of it is unreadable.

A newspaper clipping from the Oregonian of which Dick Rankin tells of an odd aircraft. He stated, I hesitated to say much about them. Until I noticed all the hullabaloo in the papers. I puzzled over their strange shape for a while and finally concluded that they were the Navy's net XFSU-1 flying flapjacks, which are thin and round with twin propellers and stubby tail." The Navy though, has announced that only one was ever built and it had never been airborne. Or even left Connecticut for that matter.

He also stated that they were flying around 2000 feet at about 300 to 400 miles per hour. He could not make out any identifying number or distinguish any wings or propeller.

An article from July 8, 1947 that states that a serious situation may develop in regards to these "Flying saucers". It also states that there mission is peaceful and are not here to excarnate the people of Earth. Also if we fired upon these ships we would certainly be disintegrated by their beam/ray like weapons.

On July 30, 1947 at around 9:10 am MST Lt. William G. Mcginty was flying over Grand Canyon, Arizona when he saw two round objects which he said were moving at "inconceivable speeds" heading strait downward. He stated that they were gray and that they looked circular at around eight feet in diameter.

Office Memorandum United States Government

General Schulgen, chief of the Intelligence Branch of the Army Corps Intelligence stated that the Air Corps has taken the attitude that every effort must be taken to run down flying disks and to determine if they are in fact a real threat. The research he has come across with the help of top scientists has determined that they may be celestial in origin and are mechanically devised and controlled.

All personnel that come in contact with these objects must be thoroughly interrogated by Schulgen and scientists as well as a pychologist.

Also stated is that these flying disks are not in any way connected to the Army or Navy or other experiments.

Using the freedom of information act in the U.S. we were able to obtain many documents from different branches of the Government and the military. Some of these declassifed files show interesting facts and research about aliens, flying saucers, and UFOs.
